Lobster Safari

Lobster safari with M/S Mira is an experience on Sweden's west coast where you join professional fisherman Ingemar Granqvist out from Fjällbacka in Bohuslän. During lobster season you get to see how the fishing really works, right on board. The trip takes 2.5–3 hours and prices start from 900 kr per person. Book online.

Lobster fishing holds a very special place along the west coast. When the season opens at the end of September, you can feel it throughout the community — and on board Mira II, you are part of the tradition. You follow a professional fisherman through the entire process: how the pots are hauled and inspected, and how the catch is assessed. Every lobster that does not measure up goes back.

The lobster season on Sweden's west coast runs from late September. Professional fishermen are licensed to fish through December. The number of places per trip is limited to ensure an intimate experience. Weather and sea conditions always determine departure times — we will contact you if there are any changes.
