Become a fisherman for a day is a hands-on fishing experience in Bohuslän where you work on board alongside professional fisherman Ingemar Granqvist. From Fjällbacka you head out on Sweden's west coast, bait pots, haul the catch and take a share of it home. Full day, from 3 500 kr per person.
Throughout the day you follow a professional fisherman's daily routine: the work rhythm, the decisions, the silences, the waiting. All the things that do not appear in a brochure but are at the heart of the trade. We provide the clothes, the tools and the knowledge — you bring the will. You get to take a share of the catch home — perfect for tonight's dinner. There is no more genuine way to understand what it means to live off the sea.
The experience takes 5–8 hours and is physically demanding. Minimum age 15 for active participation. Work clothes and all equipment are provided. You get to take a share of the catch home.
