Follow the crayfish
Crayfish emerging from the cold depth as the pots are ascending

Watch the crayfish pots being hauled
Join us on a working fishing trip and watch as crayfish pots are hauled from the seabed. From the deck, you’ll see how the gear is set, lifted, and checked—just as it has been done here for generations. The captain explains what to look for: depth, bottom conditions, and why certain waters hold more crayfish than others. This is not a hands-on activity, but a chance to observe real fishing at sea, up close and unhurried.

No rush. No shortcuts. Just real work on the water.

Leaving the harbor
We set off under current conditions, following routes shaped by weather, depth, and local knowledge.

Preparing the gear
Pots, lines, and bait are checked and handled the same way they are every working day.

The catch is brought up, measured, and sorted according to regulations. Simple, careful work.
